How do I start?
To start bidding right away, register an account with us and purchase some bids. You then pick an auction for a item you would like to have and start bidding! Alternatively, you can make a purchase right away without entering an auction by browsing the Buy It Now section.
How does it work exactly?
Bidding is very easy. You purchase a package of bids to commence bidding. Each bid placed increases the sale price by 1 to 5 cents depending on the auction. Each placed bid consumes one bid from your account. Your bids are already on account because you purchased them already. You are permitted to bid as many times as you wish and have bids in your account.
How can I add more bids to my account?
If you wish to purchase more bids, go to my account and purchase further bid packages securely either using your Visa Credit or Debit card. All card transactions are fully secure and utilise Verified by Visa. Please note that will be the descriptor which will appear on your Credit or Debit Card Statement.
What is the cost of bid packages?
We have tailored several bid packages in order to meet your bidding requirements. The cost for each bid varies on the package you choose. Bids are non-refundable. Please note that appears on your Credit or Debit Card Statement for any bid packages purchased. Equally, should you purchase one of the BUY IT NOW items, the same descriptor will also appear.
I have not received a confirmation from you after registering
Please note it can take several minutes for you to receive your registration confirmation email from us. Please kindly check your Spam or Junk email folder to make sure it has not been directed to here. Should you still have issues please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Are all auction items genuine?
All of our items are sold as genuine. We guarantee all of our items as genuine. Should we offer extremely high value items from time to time then these items will be sold with a Certificate of Authenticity with the opinion of that certificate only. The items(s) you will receive are as displayed please note shades of colour may vary slightly on our website than it appears in real life. Our descriptions are as the items you bid on including Errors and Collections.
What happens if you do not have the item that I won?
On very rare occasions, we will not be able to ship the specific item detailed in the auction. Should this occur then we will contact you to let you know and send you a product of at least equal value. Typically this will mean an upgrade a better version of the item.. We apologise for any inconvenience and assure you that customer satisfaction is extremely important to us.

What is the cost of postage of my goods?
We do not charge postage for Won Auctions.
How can I pay for my Bids?
We accept payment by Debit or Credit Card. All payments processed on our website are fully secure and we never store card numbers. For anti-fraud measures we utilise Verified by Visa SecureCode on all of our transactions.
What about returns, refunds and warranties?
If you decide that you do not want the item received, please call us and we will assist you with the return process. We are only able to accept returns up to 14 days from receipt. Ensure you have the available Auction ID and your Username as this will allow us to resolve your return promptly. We are only able to offer a refund on the price you paid for the item as well as shipping costs. We are unable to offer you a refund on the bids that you placed on the auction. Refunds take up to 3 business days to process.
The refund for any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error will be subjected to a deduction of up to 50% of the item’s price.
Exchanging a Broken or incorrect item
Should your item(s) arrive damaged please contact us immediately on email@example.com. If the packaging is damaged please state as such when signing for your goods. Please provide us with your Username, Auction Number and detail of the auction number.
How long does it take for a won item to arrive?
If you are lucky enough to have won your bid, your item will be dispatched within 48 hours (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays) For orders, delivery should be within 2 days. For International orders, delivery should be between 5-10 days depending on where in the world you are.
How can I track my order?
You will receive your tracking ID and details by email which will allow you to track the progress of your package
What are the rules of your site?
In order to afford fair play rules and allow people equal opportunities to win, we have created the below rules;
Only one account is allowed per person;
Only one account is allowed per household;
We only allow 8 wins per account per 28 days. Should you bid on more than 8 auctions and your limit is met then we will not refund you;
We only allow 3 wins per day per account;
No bots of any kind are allowed when using this website;
The Useful Auction employees and their family members (defined as parents, spouses, siblings and children) and any other person residing in the same household as employees may not under any circumstances participate in The Useful Auction auctions.
Bids are non-refundable
If these rules are broken (i.e. by the creation of multiple accounts for one person or by using bots is a clear violation of our terms and conditions and will result in our disabling the accounts of the violating Customer. Any items that were won in violation of the terms and conditions are not valid and will not be fulfilled. Refunds will only be processed for the amounts paid for these items and not for any bids used to win these items whilst violating the terms and conditions.
What is Cost and Retail Price?
Cost is the price you would pay for the item if you win the auction. Retail price is the market value of the item.
Why is time added to the auction clock?
Time is added in order to allow all bidders to decide whether they wish to bid again, exactly as a traditional auction would. The amount of time added with vary, depending on the auction item. Typical increments are 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 seconds.
